i'd thought i'd write about this . cause lots of people ask about these.
first what are they. well their all game formats for the psp .
the iso . and cso are normal psp games but eboots are ps1 iso converted to to eboot format so it can be played on the psp ( eboots normally come with a .keys file)
dif. :
iso : is the game the full one nothing compressed at all . and it's better in terms of experience some ppl have problems with cso because it's compressed. but the iso takes more place in the mem. stick largest iso ranges to 1.5 gigs
cso : it's the compressed version of the iso . it's good for small mem. stick owners. it doesn't take too much space but it some times causes lag. largest size ranges too . 800 mb
eboot. : like mentioned before this is a ps1 game made in a suitable format so as to be played on the psp. games are always 400 mb or 500 mb tops unless it's a multi disk game
rips. : are games represented in any format but have something cut out from them ( ex. music some cutscenes) so as to give u smaller sized games . i've seen a 1.5 gig game rippes in to a 250 mb because of ripping music and cutscenes.
ALSO : iso and cso are put in a folder calles ISO in the root of ur psp's mem. stick . as for eboots u must first put it and the keys file (if existing) put them in a folder prefered if u name the folder on the games name with no space than take that folder and put it in the game folder found in the psp folder which is located in the root of the mem. stick. too complicated ? msO: psp / game / ( ur game folder)
hope this small thing helps. but i know ppl have some probs. with them . i'll be postins more soon
